Blue Grama Design is by Janelle Borsberry, a landscape designer and artist.

I grew up in in the upper valley of El Paso Texas, where my love of the desert and its flora began. After spending years working with native plants in California, in recent years I returned home to the Chihuahuan desert to work with its unique plants. I live in the small town of Marfa, in the biodiverse Big Bend region of Texas. My goal is to make beautiful landscapes that nourish wildlife, soil, homeowner and community.

I have a BFA in studio art from the University of Texas at Austin and an MFA in studio art from Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, CA.

I most recently completed a Certificate of Horticulture through UCLA Extension in 2026.
