A casita with panoramic views near Blue Mountain in Fort Davis, Texas. A palette of Texas native plants creates a variety of textures against the new building. The garden is designed to be deer, javelina, and gopher resistant. Plants include damianita, blackfoot daisy, Texas pistache, Queen Victoria agave, and candelilla. Pollinators, especially native bees are adundant. A retaining gabion wall was made by the homeowners. Planted in April 2024 and photos in October 2024.
