A casita with panoramic views near Blue Mountain in Fort Davis, Texas. A pallete of Texas native plants creates a variety of textures against the new construction. This garden is designed to be deer, javelina, and gopher resistant. Plants include damianita, blackfoot daisy, Texas pistache, Queen Victoria agave, and candelilla. Pollinators, especially native bees are adundant. A retaining gabion wall was handmade by the homeowners. It was installed in April 2024 and shown here at sunset in October 2024.
